Vegetarian & Substance Free

Mandala is a vegetarian and substance-free facility. It is our desire to create a peaceful and sacred atmosphere for all guests and visitors. We do not allow the cooking or consuming of any animal products on our property, which includes meat, fish and eggs. Smoking is not allowed in or around any of our buildings. All pets including dogs & cats are not welcome on the property, except for trained service animals.

Check in

Check in is between 2-4 pm. Please call our reservation desk 707-371-5022, if you cannot arrive by this time. Any cancelation within 48 hours of arrival date will not be refunded.

Check out

Check out is by 11am. If you would like to stay and use our facilities longer than the checkout time, please check out by 11am and then park your vehicles in the Long-term Parking Lot, located by the Mini Golf Course. Once parked, you may stay until 2pm.

Loss or Damage

Mandala Springs cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage of personal possessions or valuables of our guests, and we shall not be liable for any failures beyond its control, like natural disasters, fires, excessive smoke, accidents, or any unforeseen acts of God.

Mandala Springs reserves the right at its sole discretion to terminate use of the property or any of its facilities by the customer in an event of any breach of these terms and conditions. The customer will be required to vacate the property and Mandala Springs shall not refund payment or accept any consequential liability, damages or loss.

Matter Out Of Place (MOP) Policy

Mandala Springs follows a Matter Out Of Place (MOP) policy, which requires the Licensee to return Mandala Springs to the same condition, or better, that it was in before the event. Matter may include trash, sticks, rocks, forts, instillations, decorations etc. Matter also includes items that have been moved or borrowed from a location and need to be returned to the original location.

Event Content

Temporary Structures. All installations of fences, tents, large signage, art, etc is to be approved by Mandalas operational manager. A diagram is to be sent with a detailed explanation of how the installation will be safe and secure for Attendees.

Programming Content: Mandala Springs is a retreat and educational center that is family friendly and open to the general public. We support individuals and groups learning about love, intimacy and physicality of interpersonal relationships, but we do not host classes, workshops, and other coaching practices which include nudity, sexual touching, demonstrations, or other various sexual practices which may not be appropriate for the general public.

Returning the Facility to its normal state following an event: Licensee agrees that at the end of the Event, they will restore the Mandala Springs Facilities as nearly as possible to the condition in which they existed immediately prior to the Event. Licensee agrees to reimburse the Mandala Springs for any and all costs and expenses incurred by  Mandala Springs for damage to the facilities and property sustained during the Event. All installations of fences, tents, large signage, art, etc is to be approved by Mandalas operational manager. A diagram is to be sent with a detailed explanation of how the installation will be safe and secure for Attendees.

Property Boundaries

All guests, while onsite, are required to stay within the boundaries of Mandala Springs (refer to map).

Water Use

Mandala Springs is committed to water conservation and all guests are encouraged to conserve water. In order to conserve water, the allocated shower time is less than five minutes. Retreat leaders are encouraged to educate their guests in the best practices of water conservancy.

Fire

The use of open fires and campfires is not guaranteed as drought or other conditions may cause the Lake County Fire Marshal to prohibit them. Mandala Springs complies with the directives of the Lake County Fire Marshal.

Mandala Springs allows one fire on the premises at a time in the Pavilion Fire Pit area, additional locations may be approved by Mandala Springs.

Firewood is provided byMandala Springs or by a pre-approved local vendor only. Fire wood is not to be harvested from the forest. Fires are not to be left unattended at any time.

Equipment

Mandala Springs will give reasonable access to Mandala Springs equipment and onsite assets in support of the event. The licensee is responsible to confirm what onsite assets are needed for their event and schedule the use of those items with Mandala Springs Staff.

Sound

It is the responsibility of the guests to comply with state and local law, and industry safety standards, otherwise strictly enforced.

As a common courtesy to other guests, no amplified sound is allowed from Monday - Sunday between the hours of 10:00PM to 10:00 am, unless the campus is rented out fully by the party, as in the case of an event booking. We’re happy to provide you with an excellent quote for your interests in using our facility for such purposes.

Amplified sound during the daytime is also prohibited, unless permission is granted by Mandala Springs staff.

Please keep this in mind: Our goal is to maintain a peaceful environment for all of our guests.

Cancellation

Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 dates before checking-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.

What is Mandala’s policy on intoxicants such as drugs and alcohol?
At Mandala Springs we are committed to providing an atmosphere where everyone enjoys the benefits of a wellness-based lifestyle. We believe that the use of alcohol and other intoxicants may have negative impacts on our guests' overall health and well-being. Therefore, we have implemented a strict ‘no-intoxicants’ policy on our premises. The following guidelines apply to all guests staying at Mandala Springs: 

  • No alcohol, drugs or other intoxicants are allowed on the premises, including in guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.

  • Guests who arrive at Mandala Springs with prohibited substances will be asked to leave it in their vehicle or dispose of it before entering the property.

  • Any guest found consuming prohibited substances on the premises will be asked to leave.

  • Any damage or disturbance caused by guests who have been consuming intoxicants will be the responsibility of the guest, and they may be held liable for any costs associated with repairing the damage or addressing the disturbance.

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who violates our no intoxicating substance policy.
